Knitting in public

The witchlet started to do some 10 pin league bowling today, which she thoroughly enjoyed, although I have to say the way she was writhing around to the music while she was waiting for the ball to hit the other end of the alley, she may have been a go-go dancer in a previous incarnation. Once she was settled and having a good time, I whipped out the knitting - the most recent square I'm working on for the Blanket from Hell. And the kids were drawn to me like flies. It's amazing what interest a pair of shiny needles and some bright orange and yellow variegated wool can attract. I spoke to the kids that came over - one of them had a mother who knits, one had no idea, and one told me that they do it at school, but she did weaving (I'm assuming something like a knitting nancy). On a different note, I bought the witchlet a cabbage patch kid for her birthday, and managed to order some patterns from Ebay, so I'm looking forward to them arriving. They'll be good for the school fete, and for the newborn and premmie stuff that knit4charties supports. Bright and warm wooly blessings!
